& Thorn Beneath The Eastern Star

Where fronds waltz in sequined shoes,
Pond subjects gather by royal decree
and bow reverent with the morning dew.

Dragon flies dapper, in harlequin hues,
sip from maidens lily white breast
where fronds waltz in sequined shoes.

Cattails in Victorian collars mew
court gossip to the whistling wind
and bow reverent with the morning dew.

Smokey gray Heron minuets the blue,
as frogs dream of princely robes,
where fronds waltz in sequined shoes.

Golden wild daisies enhance the view
along the dance floors rippling edge,
and bow reverent with the morning dew.

Forever pines guard the entrance to,
Her majesty's masquerade ball.
Where fronds waltz in sequined shoes
and bow reverent with the morning dew.
